Our Story

Welcome to Scratch Brick Oven! We started Scratch back in 2006 with a simple idea: we wanted to create pizza that’s all about real ingredients, made from scratch, and cooked the old-school way—in a wood-burning brick oven that we built by hand. This oven is truly the heart of Scratch, and its heat and character give each pizza a one-of-a-kind flavor and texture that you can’t find anywhere else.

Through the years, we’ve crafted a menu that reflects what we’re passionate about. We start with a choice of crusts, like our French, multigrain, and gluten-free options, and pair them with sauces that add a unique twist—think traditional red, chimichurri pesto, or even green curry. Then comes the fun part: topping your pizza with house-cured meats and fresh veggies. We love using premium, fresh ingredients, like caramelized onions, roasted garlic, and our own pepperoni, to make each bite memorable.

Our journey hasn’t always been smooth. In 2020, we had to close our doors for a while to repair our beloved brick oven. That meant replacing around 300 fire bricks—a task we do every eight years to keep our oven in peak condition. And then came the pandemic, which added even more challenges. But the support and patience from our community kept us going. Now, as we reopen and get back into the swing of things, we’re thrilled to welcome you back to Scratch, starting with weekend service and expanding as we go.
